I started honing my love and learning the science of photography in my college photojournalism class. The science - I think that's one of the things that draws me to photography - by applying the rules, the rule of thirds, the golden mean, proper lighting, and more - you can capture and even amplify the beauty around you.

Photography gives me a way to create art and beauty in a way that my hands - through drawing, painting, or sculpting - never could.

For many years I made portraits and captured weddings. Now I prefer to focus on my travel and landscape art and create tools to help other portrait photographers.
